Bogdanov’s two early theoretical works (and one later book) are scheduled to appear in Volume 1 of Bogdanov Library early next year (2025). The volume’s overall title will be – Toward the Scientific Defence of Historical Materialism – and it will include:

Cognition from the Historical Point of View (1901)

The Science of Social Consciousness (1914)

Nikolai Berdyaev published a review of Cognition book in the important Questions of Philosophy and Psychology – in 1902 – and dismissed the book as ‘pretentious’ while still dedicating twelve pages to its overview. The text is not substantially interesting to translate and include as an appendix but those who read Russian can enjoy its shallow missives and ad hominem jabs HERE.
